The Flavours of Love by Dorothy Koomson

I just love to get settled in with a Dorothy Koomson novel, they are always heartbreaking and heartwarming in equal measure.
The Flavours of Love has a lot going on and does jump around through periods of time but if you can get over that it is another fantastic book!
The story is the unfolding of a family dealing with a tragic loss, Saffron’s husband was murdered and the killer was never caught leaving her to raise their two children by herself.
Not only that but everything that could go wrong for the family does and it is definitely a test of strength and love.
The story is whole heartedly in the catagory of a realistic telling of how people cope with tragedy and it doesn’t down play it or make the murder too dramatic, it just ia what it is and for the book if far more relatable for people.
A very good read, as usuall praise for Koomson.
