The Stand by Stephen King

I have to say that I love King more and more every time I read one of his books, and the longer they are the more I love them.
The Stand is no different and is a fantastic read and is certainly worth the effort of reading 1007 pages.
In a fight between light and dark there will be heroes and enemies but sometimes it isn’t always obvious whos who.
King captivates the reader by giving us in depth stories about various people like Frannie, Larry, Stu, Tom, Nick and Trash can man at the beginning of the book while the world is changing.
Then when the pace picks up toward the divide between good and evil our characters worlds collide and at this point the reader is so into the book that even minor events have you on the edge of your seat.
I laughed at parts and I most certainly shed a tear in parts because I felt the characters pain or joy, it was a sheer rollercoaster of emotion.
I enjoyed every second of reading this book and it is most definitely in my top ten of King books!
