Second Glance by Jodi Picoult

Normally a huge fan of Picoult but I have to say, this book didn’t really do it for me. It’s weird because I can usually put my dislike of a story down to something particular but in this case I can’t!
The book was a little confusing to start off with as there were too many characters and the book jumped around a bit, maybe as I didn’t become attached to the characters I couldn’t enjoy the story, who knows!
The book is about Ross Wakeman and his journey through life after his fiancée died. We meet many people who share their story along the way in an attempt to show that everyone’s lives are intertwined. It is quite a nice romance story but it just wasn’t for me.
This still hasn’t changed how I feel about Picoult on the whole thought.

  1. I’m also a huge fan of Picoult and though I haven’t yet read this one I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t like it. Her books often have so many characters that it’s kind of hit or miss when it comes to whether or not they’ll be easy to keep track of. I’ll still probably end up reading this one (I want to eventually read all of her books) but it was nice to hear your thoughts. Great review!
