Body Double by Tess Gerritsen

Another fantastically chilling book from Gerritsen, this book will have you hooked from the second you read the blurb. I found it hard to put down whenever I got the chance to actually pick it up to read.

Again, it’s part of the Rizzoli and Isles series but it does make perfect sense as a stand alone novel.

Body Double is about a woman who turns up murdered outside Dr Maura Isles’ house, she is so strikingly similar to Maura that all the police, even Rizzoli believe that she has been murdered…..until Maura herself appears at the crime scene.

Such a startling resemblance cannot be ignored so Dr Isles begins the unpleasant task of looking into her past, unfortunately this may not be a path she wants to travel down.

Revealing secret after horrid secret about her past Maura confronts the idea that the womans murder might have had something to do with their shared past, if however the death is in no way linked with the past can Detective Rizzoli solve the crime before it’s possibly too late!

A fantastic read, I cannot recommend these books enough to people, for crime thrillers they are at the top of their genre.
