Another brilliant book from Tess Gerritsen, if you love a good crime thriller then these books are right up your street. Nothing is ever as it seems with her stories and because of that the book is totally captivating and hard to put down. This is the sixth book in the series but it is a fantastic standalone book as I haven’t been reading them in order and they are still great.
The series of books are about two main female characters, Detective Jane Rizzoli and Forensic Medical Examiner Maura Isles. In my opinion it makes the book better for having good strong female characters as the main plot of the book.
In The Mephisto Club the story is about whether evil in the truest sense of the word can exist, and the Mephisto Club believe themselves to be demon hunters. Not entirely convinced Jane is positive that the perpetrator of the crimes that have been occurring is a flesh and blood psychopath, but she still may need the Mephisto Club’s assistance as they seem to be at the center of it all.
Can Detective Rizzoli put the pieces of this extremely gruesome puzzle together in order to catch the killer or will the killer beat her and achieve his final goal?
This book was a great read full of great characters and plot twists, definitely worth a read for crime fans everywhere.
